Instructions
Cabinet Combination Lock Instructions (Model 9502) (Note: While the instructions don't explicitly state the model number, the previous context strongly suggests this is for the 9502 lock. If it's for a different model, the "9502" should be removed or changed.)
Lock Overview: This combination lock uses 4 number wheels, allowing for 10,000 different possible combinations. The lock is opened and closed by rotating the knob, which moves the locking bolt. An emergency override key is provided, with a two-level master/sub-master key system.
Setting the Combination:
Important: The combination must be set while the lock is in the open position.
Choose any four-digit combination you desire. Remember this combination!
After setting the combination, turn the lock to the closed position (rotate the knob 90 degrees counterclockwise).
Once locked, scramble the numbers on the dial to prevent unauthorized access.
To open the lock, enter the correct four-digit combination and rotate the knob 90 degrees clockwise.
Forgotten Combination Recovery:
Use the emergency override key to open the lock.
Rotate the key 90 degrees and then remove it.
Gently insert a thin pin (like a straightened paperclip) into the "emergency unlock hole" (small hole).
While applying slight pressure to the pin, rotate the corresponding number wheel until you feel the pin "jump" or "slip" into place. The wheel will feel slightly different when the pin is in the correct position.
Repeat this process for each of the four number wheels. This will reveal the forgotten combination.
Lost Emergency Key: If the emergency override key is lost and you cannot open the lock, use the master key to open it. Then, follow the "Forgotten Combination Recovery" steps (step 3) to retrieve the original combination.
